About A Better Place to Talk™

A Better Place to Talk was developed by Alan Pennington, LMFT, using a Relational Intelligence framework designed specifically for difficult human conversations.

The system is built around principles such as attunement before problem-solving, emotional validation without automatic agreement, curiosity before confrontation, separating facts from interpretations, careful timing of advice and perspective-taking, repair after misunderstanding, and experiential practice of healthier communication.

The goal is not to tell people what to think or who is right. The goal is to improve the conditions for reflection, understanding, accountability, and more constructive communication.

Scope

A Better Place to Talk is an AI-based relational communication support tool. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, medical care, legal advice, or emergency services. AI responses can be inaccurate.
